Summit County is currently recruiting for a full time Information Technology Specialist. Provides system-wide technical assistance related to personal computer hardware and software; participates in the evaluation of computer needs; assesses various options and makes recommendations to utilize technology to serve the public. Performs general PC maintenance; runs hardware diagnostic tests to determine and isolate problems; monitors warranty and coordinates vendor assistance for complex repair needs; serves as liaison with vendors. GIS experience a plus.
Graduation from high school, two (2) years of advanced training in personal computer technology and applications provided through college, trade school or professionally sponsored programs and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience performing above and related duties; specific experience in program evaluation, technical writing, personal computer systems and software is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
IT Specialist I: $47,476.00 – $66,543.73/annually
