Legal Secretary

Summit County is currently recruiting for a part-time Legal Secretary. Will be working less than 30 hours per week. Will perform a variety of entry level complex, legal secretarial duties designed to expedite legal services provided through the office of the County Attorney.

Minimum Qualifications

Legal Secretary I: Graduation from high school with course background in general office skills; and two (2) years of experience as a legal secretary or in some other comparable position providing exposure to legal terminology, methods, and procedures; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

May be filled by Legal Secretary II: Graduation from high school with course background in general office skills; plus one (1) year on specialized training provided through college, vocational school, etc. and four (4) years of experience as a legal secretary or in some other comparable position providing exposure to legal terminology, methods, and procedures; or and equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range:


  • Legal Secretary I: $16.19 – $22.67/hr.  
  • Legal Secretary II: $17.16 - $24.03/hr.
