Summit County is recruiting a Recorder to help assist the public by expediting the processing, recording, abstracting, and archiving of legal documents filed with the County. This position requires knowledge of the laws, regulations, and terminology related to these responsibilities. Strong communication skills and knowledge of computers, various program applications, and typical office machinery is necessary.
Include graduation from high school with course work in general office practices. We may hire at one of the following levels depending on submitted qualifications and experience.
Deputy Recorder I must have one year of progressively responsible experience performing general clerical duties.
Deputy Recorder II must have three years of progressively responsible experience within the recording division of the department of County Recorder.
Deputy Recorder III must have four years of progressively responsible experience within the recording division of the department of County Recorder and may be required to perform as a notary public.
