The Summit County Justice Court handles Class B and C misdemeanors and small claims of $11,000 or less.
MARCH 13, 2020 - Due to COVID-19, the Justice Court has postponed court hearings until April. Any hearings scheduled before that time will be rescheduled. During this period of time, warrants for failure to appear will not be issued. Existing payments can be made by paying online. If you have a pending matter that needs immediate attention, or you’re an out-of-state or out-of-country worker who needs to be seen prior to April 1st, please contact the Court by calling 435-615-3802 or emailing email@example.com so we can individually address your concerns.
April hearings will be reviewed in the next few weeks. Notice will be provided if those hearings will be postponed or rescheduled.
The Justice Court is still open and operational. While hearings have been postponed, Court staff will still be available to answer questions and collect in-person payments.
