Community Development Secretary

Summit County is recruiting a full-time Secretary willing to work within a team of dedicated professionals in Community Development, including Planning, Zoning, and Building. Duties include a variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to, computer operations; telephone etiquette; legal processes associated with the maintenance of public records; bookkeeping; and basic accounting. Must be able to communicate effectively and develop a positive working relationship with supervisors, co-workers, and members of our community. May hire from one of the following levels depending on submitted qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Community Development Secretary I Minimum Qualifications Graduation from High School plus one year of responsible experience in the above and related duties. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have Notary Public Certification within six months of hire.

Community Development Secretary II Minimum Qualifications Graduation from High School, one year of specialized training related to the above duties, and four years of responsible experience in the above and related duties. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have Notary Public Certification within six months of hire.

Salary Range:

  •  Community Development Secretary I - $15.73 - $21.74/hr
  •  Community Development Secretary II - $17.67 - $24.75/hr
