Summit County is recruiting for a part-time Victim Advocate. Will be working less than 20 hours per week. This position is to help reduce trauma to victims and witnesses of crime, promote trust and communication between victims, prosecutors and law enforcement, while respectfully and objectively protecting victims' rights. Prepare victims for court, provide court accompaniment and notify victims of future court proceedings, including updates of their offender's case. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Services or a closely related field and no experience necessary. Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation.
Part-Time Victims Advocate : $18.74 to $26.23 per hour
Summit County is a drug free workplace conducting pre-employment testing.
