The FILING date for the Business Personal Property Tax is May 15. The Signed Statement of Personal Property with all personal property equipment updates must be filed with the Assessor’s office to avoid penalties by this date. A nonwaivable, $25 or 10% penalty will be charged to businesses who do not file by May 15.
Summit County Council has granted through resolution, the extension of the PAYMENT of business personal property taxes until August 15, 2020. No interest will accrue during this time. Please note that to avoid the penalty, the personal property statement must be filed by the original due date of May 15.
