We have limited options to learn to ride a horse. Park City is not affordable or accessible. Horses requires facilities to board, train, teach and compete. The Sport needs open space, trails, and arenas. Silver Creek is the largest and one of the few remaining equestrian neighborhoods in Park City with currently 500 horses on 150 properties and we do not have a public riding facility. Park City Pony Club with 60 members and sponsors does not have a facility, we must use private land to host mounted meetings. Oakley and Heber have public facilities mostly for Rodeo, However, Show Jumping, Dressage and 3-Day-Eventing are Olympic Sports creating significant economic development for communities that invest in a competition horse parks. If we do nothing, horses will leave Silver Creek as they have left most of Park City. Let's save equestrian sports and invest in the infrastructure to keep the Equestrian Olympic Dream alive and well in Park City. Go to www.ParkCityPonyClub.org get involved

Many of us would like to attend County Council meetings and Planing Commission meetings but can't due to conflicts. It would be a great addition to use something like Goggle Hangouts to show live (and record) Council Work sessions and meetings, as well as Planning Commission meetings.
This would enable residents to get more involved because they would be more informed. Park City School District does this on every meeting and it is very useful.

How about some rules or oversight about this Uber Heliport which is running constant commuter flights from SLC into the Snyderville basin. The racket is unbelievable, and this is a violation of zoning. None of my neighbors were involved in this commercial enterprise which is to the detriment of our quiet enjoyment of our property. I'm all for supporting Sundance but constant helicopter traffic in and out of a residence is unacceptable.

Resorts west processed all payments, then said NO to house due to service animal, I still have not received money back,I have searched all over the site and there is nothing about service animal denial. I am begging for clarification to keep others from going through this.
Resorts west processed payments ,on the third day, I received a call stating I only had one option, a home I turned down from beginning, I was told well good news bad news, we will return money except for 1300.00 that is what discover charged resorts, I did not think I should be docked when this could have been avoided, I still have not received ANY money, and have already purchased 12 plane tickets....I have made other arrangements. If your county can deny me because of a medical alert Dog,i Wish you would state this. I Want ALL money back. I did EVERYThing Doug asked, in past 9 years I have never been denied access,I have been told if I showed up with family, I would have been denied access on spot!

Many of us in Jeremy Ranch are concerned over speeding in our residential zones. Wildlife fatalities are common and our streets are dangerous for pedestrians (no sidewalks, kids walking to/from school bus stops, very fast cars and trucks). Posted speed limits are often ignored. I raised the idea of installing traffic calming devices such as speed humps and received significant support from my neighbors. What should I do next to learn more about this topic?

I have contacted Tree Utah, they currently have a few grants available for this spring. I was hoping to be able to help the community by planting trees around the new fair grounds to support the need for more trees in the environment. It would also help with shade at the park and make the new fair grounds aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Trees, especially fruit trees are very needed to attract birds which can also be a great benefit to the environment. Birds are very good at keeping insects in check while providing beauty to the environment. I feel Coalville could benefit from this endeavor and hope that you will come on board with this. I am willing to help out with any of this and am looking forward to meeting with you.

I think there is a lot of wasted plastic bottles, spoons, forks, knives plates, bowls and etc. left over after a fair which ultimately ends up in the landfill. One way to relieve this is to have central fill water and ice stations that will allow for filling up containers with water. Also by giving people a discount by allowing them to bring their own drinking containers and allowing them to fill up their container with a drink of their choice instead of buying all plastic and bottled drinks. Another way to cut down on the garbage would be to have a small kitchen that could provide plates and forks to the vendors which could be washed and reused at the fair and other functions at the facility.

I feel by combining the two shows into one would increase participation again. I liked it when we had a Little Buckaroo Rodeo which included all events one night. As a participant, a mother of a participant and a spectator I miss that rodeo atmosphere and the excitement that is felt by participants and spectators. As I have had the opportunity to be an active member in all three areas I feel that it was not a challenge to show up to both nights. It was fun to do the time trials the night before and to be able to bring the horses back along with the rodeo and repeat the events again. Sometimes it helps children who may not of had as good of run in the time trials the first night be able to challenge it again. It does not hurt a child to have to compete twice. Children need to learn to repeat their performance to be successful and it is a good learning experience. The fair only happens once a year and I have truly enjoyed a supported all of the fair activities.

The horse show was a great success this year and was run in a timely manner. However, I feel that it does not completely represent the county. I have no problem with this type of a show because this event needs to be represented as well. So with proper coordination of events, and a big enough facility we could amply cover all of the needs of horseman and livestock goers as well. It might also be nice to start bringing in dog shows to the area as well as other animals that I may have forgotten. I also would like to see an indoor arena put in as it gets very hot in the afternoon and it is hard to stay outside in the sun all day. There needs to be ample amounts of shade maybe in the forms of trees or covered barns. Either way we need a way to get out of the sun during the day.
